Ted Nugent warns to be prepared for evil

Nugent wrote an editorial about the recent violence in Arizona and other heart-rending acts of violence. Yes, it's that Ted Nugent, the rock 'n' roller. He believes that being prepared is of the essence (ie having weapons ourselves) so that we are ready when people commit heinous acts. What is it exactly that makes a man want to kill his fellow man?

When John Lennon was murdered in 1980 by a gunman, singer/songwriter Harry Nielsson drew the opposite conclusion. He became very active in The Coalition to Stop Handgun Violence. They intended to accomplish the goal through handgun control, including waiting periods to make a purchase.

Nilsson was a Los Angeles area resident and dear friend of all of The Beatles, especially Lennon. The film Who Is Harry Nilsson And Why Is Everybody Talking About Him? was recently presented at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. Here is a link to Nilsson's 1988 congressional testimony at In The Life Of The Beatles, a blog about The Beatles.
