Muse news: Matt Bellamy and Kate Hudson are pregnant

Life has been good for Matt Bellamy, particularly here in So Cal. Muse won an American Music Award and has 3 Grammy nominations.  He found a new love interest Kate Hudson, and now has a baby on the way.

Bellamy met Kate Hudson for the second time at Coachella 2010. The first time they met in Australia about five years ago, nothing came of it because they were both in relationships. But they have been seen together often and spoken of each other fondly since then. Things moved quickly. He met Hudson's mom, Goldie Hawn, just a few months into the relationship. And now they are expecting after nine months.

Muse fans have mixed feelings. They really don't want Muse to be so Showbiz. They've all heard the stories about Hudson's "track record" with divorce and short, tempestuous relationships. They don't want their soft-hearted front man ending up broken-hearted again.

In September of 2009, he split from his long-term Italian girlfriend, Gaia Polloni. Sure, he has the world record for breaking the most guitars, but that doesn't fool anyone; just listen to Muse lyrics. Bellamy forever writes about his heart--in space, of course. He wrote "Neutron Star Collision" about his breakup with Polloni and previously wrote "Map of the Problematique" about some of their issues.

Of course, Muse fans truly hope that great talent continues to run in the family. Bellamy's father, George Bellamy, wrote "Telstar" which was a #1 hit in the US and covered by the surf group, The Ventures, among many other bands.

If Bellamy ever has questions about being a dad, he can always call Muse's bass player, Chris Wolstenholme, who has 5 children with his wife, Kelly. As an alternate, the LA Rock Examiner suggests Stewart Copeland of The Police who lives in Los Angeles and has 10 children.

Bellamy has been seen acting quite dad-like, holding hands with Hudson's son, Ryder. It looks like he's happy with his new role in Kate Hudson's life. The pregancy was not expected, however, the pair are very happy about it according to insiders. The baby is 14 weeks along. No word on names yet.
Note: Showbiz is the title of Muse's first full-length album.

Im sorry, but I really can not fathom what he sees in Kate Hudson...Matt is a genius, and I have no doubt that he will be a great father. Its just a pity that it is with her.

Someday I hope that I will interview her or meet her.

But it seems like they are truly happy and love each other.

I sort of wish that love wasn't happening in Hollywood, though.
